Windermere Estates has home buyers on a budget jumping for joy.

Amid an unprecedented seller’s market causing home prices to rise, real estate development group, Stevens Fine Homes unveils a new neighborhood that’s bringing relief to buyers who are on a budget. Windermere Estates, located off Mt. Misery Road in Leland is just minutes from Wilmington and offers a unique opportunity to get into a brand-new home for under $180,000, plus the chance to save thousands in property taxes by being in Brunswick County. Six Windermere homes and the model are now under construction, expected to be complete by December. Homes in Windermere start as low as $175.9. Buyers get to choose from 12 different one or two-story home designs ranging from two bedroom two bath, 1,405 square foot plans all the way up to a 3,187 square foot house with six bedrooms and 3 ½ bathrooms.

“It’s perfect for both retirees who don’t want a lot of maintenance and for large families who can get into a six-bedroom house for $235,000 $230,000,” said Collins.

Stevens has plans to re-design their ultra-popular townhome layouts from Grayson Park, which sold out in less than a year, into two different single family home designs exclusive to Windermere. These two bedroom, two bath home plans will both be one story.

“We really wanted to continue to offer affordable homes for our customers,” said Collins.

The Windermere property is nestled inside a shady, wooded landscape with ponds, walking paths, sidewalks and street lights.

Its craftsman style look of the homes will feature popular board and batten, cedar shake and stone accent exterior options and open floor plans.  “We’re predicting phase one to sell out quickly. We’ve got a lot of people from out of town that have interest. The neighborhood has a lot of character, featuring pond views and wooded sites. The pricing is affordable and with the location, you’re able to get into town quickly, so it’s is desirable,” Collins said.
