A new parkway increases property values and heightens interest.

Mallory Creek Plantation is experiencing a spike in interest among home buyers as property values in the neighborhood get ready to climb thanks to a new parkway coming this summer.

The new two-lane, one mile stretch will connect Mallory Creek Plantation to Brunswick Forest, and is expected to bring growth to the area.  Residents in Mallory Creek neighborhoods will soon enjoy the convenience of a link between NC 133 and US 17. The shortcut to shops, restaurants, and Cape Fear National golf course has been a big selling point.

“Everyone is really excited. Residents can enjoy the benefits of the nearby amenities, without having to pay the premium for that type of location,” said Stevens Fine Homes sales specialist, Randall Pigford. “Visitor traffic has picked up in Mallory Creek, especially in The Grove.”

New homes at The Grove start as low as $235,000 and feature one-story floor plans with impressive open living spaces, finished bonus rooms, and charming brick exteriors. Just under 30 home sites remain in The Grove, with a projected build time of 120 days – start to finish – with a small down payment.

The Grove is one of two Stevens Fine Homes communities within Mallory Creek Plantation; new homes in The Pines sport coastal craftsman designs and start as low as $211,900. Surrounded by a lush border of native trees, Mallory Creek Plantation is perfectly situated in the pristine low country between Wilmington and Southport. The neighborhood is a spectacular retreat from the city life of downtown Wilmington just fifteen minutes away.

“We lived in Wilmington twenty-two years ago and decided to retire to Brunswick County because our daughter and son in law built a house in Mallory Creek. The cost of construction and HOA fees here are more reasonable and we have felt very welcomed by the community,” said Lorrie and Ed Ingersoll.

Mallory Creek’s competition size pool, low country style club house, ponds and miles of walking paths surrounded by live oaks and magnolia trees only cost homeowners $40 a month in HOA dues. Nearby Brunswick Nature Park is home to acres of wetlands and waterways, with a kayak launch and miles of biking and horse riding trails.

The Grove offers four different floor plans ranging from 1,832 to 2,332 square feet on up to half acre home sites. The Grove’s three-bedroom, three-bathroom Danforth plan was showcased in this year’s Parade of Homes. Features like granite countertops, laminate wood floors, crown molding detail, finished bonus room and a screened porch were a big draw. A furnished model home at The Grove is open seven days a week. Five Grove homes are now complete and move-in ready, or customers can choose a home site and build.

“We chose to build a Topsail Schooner model and love the floor plan and our pretty wooded view,” said the Ingersoll’s. “Besides being closer to grandchildren, the best perk is easy access to both Wilmington and Brunswick County attractions. This will only be enhanced when the Brunswick Forest connector is finished.”

The much anticipated parkway extension between Mallory Creek Drive in Mallory Creek Plantation to Rice Gate Way in Brunswick Forest is expected to be completed mid-June.
